“New” Website Online

610squadron.com is now back online!

There is still construction work going-on and the dustsheets are still down; but the framework is in and working.

Please do have a look around. Any comments via the online form, please.

  1. I’ve found this a really informative website. If you have any photos, particularly of post-war Spitfires, please post them up. They’re a fantastic resource for model makers.

  2. Hello there,

I only discovered this site a couple of weeks ago and added my email address at that time in the hope of keeping in touch.
Briefly, I joined 610 in March 1956 after leaving the RAF a couple of years earlier and was already familiar with the Mk.7 & 8 Meteor. In June 56 I had a dual check with Hamish Gass and a couple with Fl.Lt.Wilson before my first solo sortie.
Sadly, I was very involved building-up the family business and before I had chance to fully integrate with the squadron, “Jazz” rang me with the news that the RAAF had been disbanded.
It would be great to hear from any past members but I realise that numbers will have declined somewhat by now! I guess I’m lucky that I still hold a pilots licence and fly a friends light aeroplane (having sold my own!) at the ripe old age of 87!
I look forward to hearing from you.
    Ron Jones.
